Water System

The little giant should do the trick, however i worry that it will get clogged up with dust. So perhaps a submersible one might be better.

Xander: Jesus christ, these two pumps pump between 7-13 gallons a minute, do we really need that kind of horsepower?

According to our WaterWeight estimates, we're only going to have between 4-8 gallons of water in the dish.

Good minimum steel thickness to keep in mind is 5/16"

Types of arc welding
stick - consumable electrode
mig - metal inert gas, the 'glue gun'
tig - most sophisticated, versatile .

We would use 'mig' welding

Steel fab shoprates are $50 - $120 /hr around here.

O.D. of our tubing is 2"

Rusty's instinct, 3/4" O.D. tubing. medium wall

"Chine" -- approximate curve by straight-line segments

"Flange mount" -- two plates bolting together

Other places that do steel
Capital Industries - they do laser cutting (more precise but also way more expensive)
Specialty Metals - hydro cutting, need to jump on them to get a response since they want to only do $30k jobs.
